You will need to know your email account settings before you begin,
these are email address and incoming and outgoing server names
Note: This is based other email already setup, other wise outlook 2007 will display 'Add a New E-mail Account' window
Step 1 Open up Outlook
Step 2 Click 'Accounts Settings' under 'Tools'


Step 2 Click 'New...'

Step 3 Make sure 'Microsoft Exchange, POP3...' is selected. click 'Next'
Step 4 Select 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' at the bottom of the next page and click 'Next'

Step 5 Select 'Internet Email' click 'Next'

Step 6 You will be presented with a window you will need your login information and Incoming server and Outgoing server infomation, don't click Next yet
Step 7 Click 'More Settings' Choose the 'Outgoing Server' Tab

Tick the box'My Outgoing Server (SMTP)...' and 'Use Same Settings...'
Now Select the 'Advanced' Tab

Tick the box 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)' port number will change to 995
Change the Outgoing Server to 26
Also un-tick the ' Leave a copy...' click 'OK'
Step 8 Click 'Next' you should have a window pop up see below and an additional dialog box to accept the security certificate, click Yes to accept (picture below)


Step 9 Now that you have completed the test Close the dialog box then click 'Finish'

You can now send and receive emails
